Alex Hope is Managing Director and co-founder of VFX house Double Negative Ltd. Founded in 1998 with a team of just 30, Double Negative has grown to become one of the industry’s major success stories. 15 years later, Double Negative, is Europe’s largest Film VFX company working on the likes of Dark Knight Rises, Skyfall, Inception (for which Dneg won both Bafta and Academy Award), Godzilla and Interstellar. 2013 also saw the launch of new film production division, Dneg Films, and Dneg TV to create VFX for high end television productions.
Alex was co-author of the 2010 DCMS-commissioned Next Gen Report and is a Board Director of Creative Skillset.
As a Board Director of the UK Screen Association since 2008, has been heavily involved in the Association's efforts to improve the quality of education available to those coming into the VFX industry.
