ACCESS:VFX is a cross-company initiative to promote diversity and inclusion in the VFX industry. Many VFX companies, educational organisations and bodies have come together to plan and create events to raise awareness and champion the important issue, helping to bring about change.
Since the early part of this year we’ve been working alongside VFX studios to deliver an industry-wide programme of events for National Inclusion Week that kicks off from Monday 25th September, two weeks away.
Under the brand name ACCESS: VFX we have partnered with The Mill, Framestore, Double Negative, MPC, Jellyfish Pictures, ILM, Blue Zoo Animation, Union VFX, Escape Studios, Escape Technology and a range of training suppliers, speakers and trailblazers to design an incredible week of events, workshops, screenings and panel discussions, all in the name of promoting better inclusion and increased diversity within the VFX industry and wider creative sector.
The workshops and events are open to all staff and clients across the industry, with events happening at multiple VFX studios, including the BFI Southbank and The Lion & Unicorn Theatre in Kentish Town.
In addition to the jam-packed schedule, we are running a careers day and mentoring programme for 15-18-year-old students from diverse areas of London and the current VFX apprentice intake will be running a day-long takeover event for young job-seekers over at Escape Studios.
You can access the full programme of events on the ACCESS: VFX website and book your attendance online.
