The 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards will honour the best in U.S. prime time television programming from June 1st, 2020, until May 31st, 2021, as chosen by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

The nominees have already been announced and can be found  here.

CBS has tapped Cedric the Entertainer to host the 2021 Emmy Awards. The comedian made the announcement on Twitter and joked that he gets to host even though he’s not a Jimmy (both Jimmy Kimmel and Fallon have hosted the show in the past, as well as Late Late Show host James Corden).

The Emmys will be filmed live from the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles and UK-based fans will be able to watch the livestream on the Emmys website, Facebook page or Youtube channel from 1am. However, it is likely that the Emmys will also be broadcast on a Sky channel in the UK on Monday 20th September 2021.
