Accessibility in Animation

Between August and October 2021, ScreenSkills – in partnership with Manchester Animation
Festival and the Visible in Visuals (ViV) network – conducted a survey targeting the workforce
operating in the animation sector. The purpose of the survey was to shed light on the perceptions
of accessibility within the animation sector, looking at inclusive working practices, and possible
actions that employers can take to improve working in animation for disabled talent. The research
is underpinned by an online survey, which garnered 121 respondents all working in animation
