POSTPONED – Creative Nation 2020

Industry Events  |  19 May 2020

Venue: Kings Place, London

Immerse yourself in creativity and culture with Creative Nation 2020 – the inaugural event bringing the creative industries together, brought to you by the Creative Industries Federation and Creative England.

Set against the new political backdrop, the next phase in the Brexit process and the dawning of a new decade, this unique one-day experience will blend creativity and commerce to help creative people, businesses and leaders tap into the latest industry trends and make the most of the opportunities facing the UK and their sector in the months and years to come. As well as major addresses from government and a Creativity Lecture from a leading industry figure, the programme will include discussions on the current economic, political and investment landscapes and how the creative sectors are responding; Global creative trends; Trade, exports and the latest with Brexit; Sustainability; and Creative talent and where to find it.

The only occasion in the year where we bring all of our members and key stakeholders together, it will be the single biggest gathering of the UK’s creative industries. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from politicians, creative leaders, and key influential guests on the major issues shaping the UK economy today and takeaway practical advice on what this all means for their business, alongside performances from some of the brightest talent the UK has to offer.

There will also be some fantastic networking opportunities in the fringes of the event and we’ll end the day with a celebratory reception to spotlight and celebrate the success of our creative sector with an evening of food, drink, creative performance, lots of networking and further opportunity to hear about the future vision and objectives for the new organisation.

In light of the escalating situation with COVID-19, we have taken the decision to postpone the conference from May to the autumn. We are working with Kings Place to secure a new date and will provide an update very soon. This wasn’t an easy decision at all but we have been following UK government guidelines and the rolling advice from public health authorities and other organisations closely and feel this is the best decision to protect all those involved in the event. If you have any queries or concerns please contact Katie Banham at katie@creativeindustriesfederation.com.
