
Cambridge based VFX studio, Vine FX has announced the opening of Vine FX North, a new Manchester-based branch. The expansion reinforces the studio’s industry profi le in the UK and expands its capacity to deliver high-end visual effects to productions across national and international markets.
The opening was marked by a launch event in Manchester on 4 February, bringing together creative partners and industry peers. Based in the heart of Manchester, Vine FX will support film and television productions across the North of England, working alongside the studio’s existing Cambridge operation. The Manchester studio is led by VFX Supervisor, Jim Solan, who joined Vine FX as the new branch launched.

The launch of Vine FX in Manchester represents a further step in Vine FX’s ongoing evolution, as the studio continues to develop its creative infrastructure while maintaining a focus on collaboration, craftsmanship, and high-quality visual effects. Recent credits for the studio includes work on The Witcher – Season 4 for Netflix, and Harlan Coben’s Lazarus for Prime Video. With a strong slate of upcoming projects for 2026, the VFX house is poised to expand its creative reach in the year ahead.
